Catch a Glimpse of the Mythical Creatures of Titan Quest II!

In the April update on the upcoming isometric action RPG, Titan Quest II, we are presented with two boss creatures we will be facing in the myth-inspired adventure, the Gryphon and the Hippocampos. These boss encounters are designed to test any fledgeling hero trying to forge their own legend! Using clear patterns of attack, the creatures can be predicted, but you will first need to find the correct rhythm to combat them! Staying alive and being patient can be the key to a first-try victory, but you'll need to survive long enough for it to count. Death carries a heavy toll, after all...

The hippocampus is what the ancient Greeks thought the adult form of a seahorse was and acted as the steeds of the Nereids, as well as the chariot-horses of the god Poseidon. As such, these colourful are not to be taken lightly, as they are masters of both cold and lightning, utilising sudden geysers, lightning strikes, and even a barrier! Their natural speed allows them to make quick barrages of attacks, requiring players to be careful about their timing, if they want to survive.

The Gryphon, while not quite as tough as the hippocampos, is still a mighty beast in its own right. Known for being a danger to any farmer's animals, be they sheep, pigs, or cows, the presence of one of these fliers is always a sign of troubles ahead. The gryphon utilises its wings in combat, shooting off into the sky in order to swoop down on its prey or assailant. The creature also uses its natural agility to its fullest, pouncing and dodging while also lashing out with a series of attacks!

Both of these bosses grant rewards on being defeated and they can even be faced again to gain even more goodies! However, we'll have to wait until the next update to learn more. Until then, keep an eye on the sky and an ear to waves.
